我是今年5月才重返教會的。 重返教會前一個月我讀了一本教會成員寫的書籍，裡面提及先知約瑟‧斯密的教導，當時我立即醒覺起來。先知約瑟‧斯密曾教導：“It is the first principle of the gospel to know for a certainty the character of God, ⋯ and that He was once a man like us. ... When you climb up a ladder, you must begin at the bottom, and ascend step by step, until you arrive at the top; and so it is with the principles of the gospel—you must begin with the first and go until you learn all the principles of exaltation. But it will be a great while after you have passed through the veil before you will have learned them. It is not all to be comprehended in this world: it will be a great work to learn our salvation and exaltation even beyond the grave.”（詳見福音圖書館中利阿賀拿英文版2006年1月份 The Fulness of the Gospel - The Nature of Man）。
尤理西斯‧蘇瑞長老的講道「我如何才能明白」令我再一次相信藉著研讀經文、聆聽教會先知的教導，以及藉著教會成員有靈性的分享，我們就能領受和明白得到主的答覆，所以我們要經常重溫這些教導，我們要捉緊這鐵杆。
我在這三年多沒回教會的時間，最後讓我明白到要自律，要在福音的道路上，在遵守誡命和律法上，在對耶穌基督的信心上，要熱切、發自內心、堅定且真誠地尋求福音，和棄絕所有的罪惡。這樣做的話，天父就會在衪認為適當的時候，派遣祂的使者救贖衪失落的羊。在此我要感謝主、教會的成員們和童偉兄弟，讓我覺醒， 重燃我對耶穌基督的信心，令我知道只要我肯真心悔改，祂就
不會放棄我，所以我們要裝備好自己。
