2018年6月30日，林文浩會長及林黃惠賢姊妹正式卸任為期三年的傳道服務。「香港的確是一個既忙碌又充滿挑戰的地區。」林姊妹憶述三年內曾簡化了很多報告，面對很多困難和挑戰；出席各個支會和支聯會並講道。
\n\n\n林會長說：「三年來，看見香港從四個支聯會改成六個支聯會，的確難忘。這三年內，一共有400多個傳教士，他們就像我們的兒女一樣，照顧他們起居飲食、住屋需要、靈性上、同伴團的合作問題與他們日後解職後的目標與計畫。當他們不開心的時候，我們也會不開心。感覺上的確與他們很接近很親。看到他們的改變，真的是一個奇蹟，記得初來香港的時候，他們都是年輕的和未經磨煉的男女孩，離開的時候他們都是靈性上很敏感、很成熟的傳教士。」
\n\n\n「香港人很忙，他們都喜歡打機、講電話，忙於上班和上學，因此大部分人都不理睬傳教士，所以很難尋找慕道友。一般來香港傳道的都是18、19歲的年輕男女，有些傳教士剛來到香港的時候，未能熟習廣東話和適應香港文化和環境的差異，因此都有抑鬱。但是他們都是天父所揀選的，他們都充滿能力。當我們看到他們克服挑戰和困難之後，全心全力地去做傳道工作，我們就非常感恩和快樂。
\n\n\n在他們當中，也有一些是有充分準備的傳教士，他們無論在屬世上或是屬靈上都準備好。他們都有成功傳教士的共同特質，就是每當他們做天父所吩咐的事情時，他們都會服從天父和領袖們給他們的方法去做。這些成功的傳教士一般都是開心快樂的。由於他們的態度是好的，他們自然是開心樂意去做主所吩咐的一切事情；他們自然會努力地服從並配稱地成為主耶穌基督的工具；他們有聖靈幫助；他們自然會是成功的傳教士呢！」
\n\n\n林姊妹分享他們在靈性上施助傳教士的步驟，每當傳教士有問題的時候就會找我們。他們先與林會長面談和接見，讓他們知道我們很愛他們，他們才會坦白地說出他們的問題來，面談後我們就會用經文和自己成功的經驗幫助他們解決問題。我們一般每六個星期都要接見每一位傳教士。
\n\n\n林會長伉儷給香港成員和未來傳教士的鼓勵：「所有男青年和有渴望去傳道的女青年，不要臨時決定想做就去做，必須準備好才去做。他們覺得做傳道工作，任何時候都可以做，唯獨是全職傳教士，卻要準備好才出發。傳教士首先在靈性上準備好自己，先要看完整本摩爾門經，一定要對救主和天父有信心、見證；此外要有健康的身體；要學習簡單家務如：熨衣服、刷鞋、做飯和煮菜。要自立，並且承諾會盡心、盡意和盡力去服務同胞，並且學會用神的眼光，而非人的眼光去看待他們。」
\n\n\n對於準備還鄉的傳教士林姊妹有特別的忠告：「記得香港傳道部推出用智能電話後，我們積極地教導傳教士這只是用來傳道的工具而已，退職後回到家鄉都要適當地和在有需要的時候用，不要時常拿著智能電話。每個傳教士回到自己的支會後都要繼續做成員傳教士。」林會長說：「傳道時他們都互相施助，還鄉後他們要自立。目的是要他們可以繼續為神服務，希望他們能成為神手中的工具。無論是在家庭或是參與任何服務，讓神每次召喚他們的時候，他們都能回答說：「神，我在這裡，可以吩咐我做一切事情。」
\n\n\n林姊妹見證說：「這個召喚使我們的夫妻關係與感情越來越深，以前由於林會長的職業，他經常不在家，加上他在教會的召喚又是主教和支聯會會長，見面時間和機會真的很少，在香港傳道，我們24小時都在一起為神服務，真是一項特別的恩賜。我知道天父活著，耶穌基督是救主。我們願意全心全意地服務，因為我們知道耶穌基督後期聖徒教會是一所復興的教會；經由基督的贖罪我們得到永生；將來可以回到天家。我愛摩爾門經，因為裡面可以回答人生中所有問題，藉著研讀它我們也可以找到對天父和耶穌基督的信心與見證。」
\n\n\n林會長說：「神愛我們和祂所有的兒女。我知道傳教士藉著服務培養了『仁愛』，他們愛慕道友，他們與成員們一起積極地為慕道友祈禱。傳教士把他們的慕道友都當作自己的家人和朋友一樣，他們很有愛心。這就是神的『愛的福音』，他們認識什麼是『神的愛』。基督是我們的救贖主，天父要我們愛祂。摩爾門經是神的話語。每天閱讀摩爾門經，可以倍加我們的愛心和信心。它使我們可以靠近神和感受到聖靈。研讀摩爾門經可以有個人的靈感與啟發，可以幫助我們解決所有的疑問、挑戰和困難。羅素‧納爾遜會長是神的先知，感謝他教導我們如何感受到聖靈。我有很強的感受——他就是神的先知，我見證約瑟‧斯密是這個時代的先知，他真的見到天父和耶穌基督，祂們跟他講話，聖靈在我的心裡見證這些都是真實的。」
\n\n\n林會長與太太回到他們美國洛杉磯的家鄉後，當然很開心將會有很多睡眠、休息、活動和與家人朋友們一起相聚的時刻，但是他們為神服務的心卻停不了，他們已經計劃未來的聖殿和家譜事工。在這裡非常感謝他們一直為神和我們香港的傳道事工所付出的努力、犧牲和愛。願神祝福他們健康快樂，達成每一個為神服務的心願與目標。
